We took a trip to Mexico City, where we visited some relatives.  And from my brother's apartment I got to see the beautiful view of the city at night with colorful lights reflecting on the buildings.

My brother, who is also an artist, see his blog here www.robertotostado.blogspot.com made this drawing and with my oils and brushes I turned it into night. 

En un viaje que hicimos a la ciudad de México en donde visitamos a algunos familiares y desde la ventana en el departamento de mi hermano pude ver la hermosa vista de la ciudad de noche con sus luces de colores que se reflejan en los edificios.

Mi hermano, quien es también un artista, puedes ver su blog aquí www.robertotostado.blogspot.com hizo este dibujo y yo con mis óleos y pinceles lo cambié a una escena nocturna.

Para Mi Mami

Este cuadro representa el amor y recuerdos que mi Mamá me dio. Siento una gran admiración por ella. Hoy se cumplen 9 meses sin ella.

Sueño con ella muy seguido y se que me contesta muchas preguntas y me reconforta. Me pregunto ella cómo nos vera y qué pensará de nosotros desde el cielo.

Gracias a todos por las palabras de aliento y comprensión. Especialmente a ti mi amor, John. Por ese hermoso abrazo que me diste esta mañana. Significa mucho para mi y las palabras no fueron necesarias.

En este cuadro use objetos que eran especial para mi Mamá y para mi.

Crecer con ella fue un placer en mi vida y estoy agradecida por eso.

Gracias y siempre te recordaré.

To My Mom

This painting represents the love, admiration, and memories I have of my mother. Today is 9 months without her.

I have dreams of her very often and I know she answers many questions and comforts me from heaven. I wonder how she sees us and thinks of what we are doing.

Thank you for all the words of comfort and understanding from all the people around me. Especially to you John, my love, and for that nice hug you gave me this morning. It means so much to me that words were not necessary.

In this painting I used objects that are special between me and my Mom. Growing up having her in my life was a pleasure and I feel thankful for that.

Thanks and I will always remember you.

This painting is titled A Nice Walk, because I had the fortune of having my Mom for one her visits and we went to a place named Old Town Spring that is full of character and extraordinary old big trees. And I particularly remember that she held my arm to walked under this beautiful tree.

Este cuadro lo titulé Un Agradable Paseo, porque tuve la fortuna de tener a mi Mamá de visita y fuimos a un lugar llamado Old Town Spring, que tiene un encanto y está lleno de árboles maduros muy altos. Y me acuerdo que caminamos bajo éste extraordinario árbol y ella tomó mi brazo.
